Study Finds Value In Spam - What??

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this article (its posted below for your interest).

The argument goes that spamming people with health related emails will assist in overall health.

Two issues with this conclusion.

First, why use spam - why not use other methods of getting through to the population with your message, maybe this is one example where the government could use its billions in taxes to actually do some good?

Second, as soon as you start trying to legitimize some spam over all the crap, you've just made the whole issue of stopping illegitimate and often dangerous spam a much more complex problem to deal with.

You still have to STOP SPAM! It's growing more annoying, more costly from a social perspective, more damaging from a national perspective and is becoming far more threatening personally - to read more about stopping spam you can visit our Spam Blocker Site.

Here is the article I spoke about titled Study Finds Value In Spam

More progress on stopping spam internationally

Recent news releases have demonstrated that the international community - including Korea and China, are becoming more aggressive against spam. Make no mistake, bringing spam under control does depend on a coherent, consistent and enforced international initiative.

However, that said, international regulation and enforcement alone will not be enough. Anti spam measures such as personal behavior and leading technology solutions are still required to protect yourself from the growing malicious impact of spam.
